Meet the (not so secret) players...
Congratulations to our designer Kelly Bailey for her FringeNYC award for Best Design - Costumes: Pulp Shakespeare!!
Founder and Artistic Director
As an actor, Jordan has performed (mostly Shakespeare) on both coasts. A graduate of the University of Connecticut's Theatre program, favorite roles include Don Armado in Love's Labour's Lost with The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream with the California Lyric Theatre. Other interests include writing, illustration, and puppetry.
He formed Her Majesty's Secret Players in the spring of 2011 with the intent to bring a new slant on Shakespeare to audiences, and hopes that their productions will ignite a new found appreciation of the Bard in today's culture.
Aaron is from a Circus family, so it comes as no surprise that he has become an actor, percussionist, fire spinner, film editor, cook, theatre designer and writer. He is thrilled to return to New York as a working actor. He has appeared in over 75 theatrical productions in 48 States and 9 Countries including Cousin Bette (Antaeus Company), MacBeth (ZJU), Hamlet (World Tour), and Dante’s Inferno (NYC). Film and TV credits include Weeds, I Am I, The Post Graduate, AMW, and the award winning The Broken Heart of Gnocchi Bolognese. As a stage combat choreographer and movement coach, he has worked on dozens of productions in Los Angeles, Boston and New York.
A native of Minneapolis, MN, Brian has been performing in and around Los Angeles since 2005. He has worked with The Porters of Hellsgate, The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum, The Uprising Theatre Company, The NoHo Arts Center, and spent four summers with Shakespeare Santa Barbara.
As well as being a film and commercial actor, Brian is currently producing a documentary about Shakespearean actors.
Vocal Coach/Guest Artist
A Jackson, Mississippi native by way of D.C. and Virginia; Dan White has a diverse list of credits to his name. White, who holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Acting from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts, starred as Romadal Dupree in Showtime’s TV series Barbershop, in addition to appearances in Boomtown, The Sunset Hotel, and Big Brother Jake. One may also be familiar with his voice, as he narrated MTV’s hit series Pimp My Ride. He has also lent timber to multiple national commercial campaigns, such as Carl’s Jr. / Hardee’s, McDonald’s, Hewlett-Packard, and Taco Bell. Some of his film credits include Creature of Darkness, Chasing Life, Ali, and The Projects Lumiere. Theatrically, he’s appeared in productions such as Miss Evers’ Boys, Henry V, Three Sisters, and The Rabbit Hole. Dan cannot be more excited about the opportunity to bring to life the works of his favorite playwright, filmmaker, and actor.
